Well. All these photos have come through together and not in the orger that I wanted them too but you gte that!! The metal wasp and nest are a pendant that i have made for assessment. I am ver happy with them! All they need is a bit of a polish and they are done!
The 'hat' is a tiara that i have made for a competition for an exhibition about the Miss Australia competition that finished in 2000.














I have used Disney characters as the contestants. I thought that this was suitable as most young girls look at these characters and eminate them. They want to be a little princess and I think that this can be the source of their desires to be beautiful. Princessed also wear tiaras, therefore it is suitable that they should be on one!
I had a lot of fun making the tiara. It is not for assessment and we had free range on what we made the tiara from. So I have chosen rubber and recycled goods, as well as a few purchased pieces!
It also bought into play my costume skills. It was a nice regression back to the days where I could think of something and create it without having to plan it out extensively in a visual journal!
So now it will be the deciding stage that the tiara will have to go through to see if I get in or not!!
