World Aids Day

I thought that I would write a little something as it is World Aids Day today, and I would like to send out my support to all of those I know who have had contact with the virus, or have known someone who has.

I was reading the World Aids Day web page and they state that someone contracts the virus every 11 minutes !! It claims over 8,000 lives a day, meaning that 5 people die from the virus every minute!!

There are almost 38 Million people living with the virus in the world.

When a person is infected with the HIV virus, it may be possible to prevent the infection developing into AIDS. AIDS is where the body has been badly infected to the point that the immune system is badly damaged and is unable to fight off all the other infections that it is susseptable to. This can lead to the death of the individual.

I have known a few people in my time who have been infected with HIV and have been intimately involved with one particular person. I no longer speak to this person and do not knwo if they are okay or have past and there is noway that I can find out either.
I have known people too that have past from the virus and it is a big concern for all. Whether you are gay, straight or whatever.

We all need ot be safe in every way possible.
