Assessment is here again!!

You know, it does not seem like that lon ago that I was writing about assessment and how much I had due. Well it is here again with avengence. It does not seem like there is a lot when you have a look at it but then again, I have an exam on top o what i had last time and that is not the best thing for me....I have figured it out though. This term or part of the semester is a lot shorter with all the public holidays and stuff that we have had. Does not help that we have another one coming up but all I have is the exam to worry about at that stage!!
I am pretty excited though that the end of the semester is coming up. I have holidays and we go on the boat for a week then I have another 4 weeks off!!. Good thing is that I will have time to catch up on sleep in that time and prepare myself for another semester...This one may be a little busier as I start the secondary teaching area and I do not know what to expect for that as yet as it has not been discussed.
We will see I suppose.
My gold smithing and silversmithing piece is coming along really nicely. I have done a lot of work to make it all come together but there is still more to be done and I think that it will look really good by the time I have finished. Everyone who has seen it is impressed. The lecturers are quite impressed with it and the way that I am wanting to display it also and that is nice. Hopefully that will mean that they will give me a good mark. I have to work at the final assessment piece a lot this week though as I have the assessment the following week on the Tuesday and I would like to have it all finished at the begining of next week as I also have the drawing portfolio to get finished and I am running a bit behind on that one....I only have three drawings to do but I am running behind...so there you have it all...the latest happening in the world of me.

It hailed like there was no tomorrow..I cannot remember the last time I saw this much hail. There was that much that it reminded me of the time I spent in china...and was just as cold 

just in front o the gararge door there was a lovely little pile of hail 

of course all the trees got a bit of a trim 

this is not all of it either...there was much more in some area's....some places recieved anywhere from a foot to two feet of hail!!

The Day The Earth Stood Still!! 

As promised...this is the best view of the painting that I can get at this present point in time....All that is required is the stamen and that will make the picture a little darker also...but then it is done.  

Here We Are!!

I thought that I may post something of the new image, the reworked painting that I have done. I don't think that it is as good as the original but with time constraints I do not feel that I can waste anymore time on the perfection of the piece.
I have been working solidly on the assignment and still have to do more work to have it complete in the research stage so that I may be able to type all the information into the computer and have the paper finished by the beginning of next week.
I have yet another week to have the paper finished but I am stressing with the other assessment that I have also. It will not be too difficult to have the rest done and I have a time line of what I need to have accomplished and by when, so it would not be too difficult.
Only three weeks to go essentially and that is a bit of a worry....The holiday that follows though will be a good way to relax.
Anyway, here is the photo of the "revised" painting that I have done.

almost finished

I have been working on this commission of mine and I have emailed the people who have commissioned me and they have requested darker petals...I will have to take the time on Monday night to get all the petals done and the stamen hopefully no later than Tuesday as I would like to have this done and out of the way so I can get this assignment done this week. The assignment is not due for another couple of weeks but it would be good to get it out of the way too then I can finish the Drawing and G&S portfolios and study for the exam as well which I will have to really get cracking on this week!! So much on and so little time to enjoy it all....
I will post further pics when I have finished the paintings.....I think they look good the way they are but hey!!

This has better light...All I need to do now is paint the Stamen on and the shaddows and the painting is complete...Oh yeah and I have to paint the bottom part of the canvas but I am just waiting for the top edge to dry so I can flip them over and paint the bottom edge... 

This one is a bit dark but you still get the idea of what I am doing...

Assignment Back

Well I have received my results for my first assignment wich was 79.2%. That makes it six on the richter scale I think!! He He!!
I have started on the new assignment last week and that is just at the research stages. I hope to have it complete within the next week- weeka and a half. I have also started revising for my exam on the 15th of June...I would like to have a month of solid revision for that under my belt...That will be nice!!
Not only do I have all the analytical stuff happening but I also have the Goldsmithing and Silversmithing to do and I have found some really good everyday objects for that that I can use!!!
I will explain more when I have photo's as it will not make that much sense to you all in trying to explain in words!!
That may be a fault on my behalf though and no one elses!!!!
Well Just wanted to let you all know what I am up to and I will update you with some visuals soon!!
